The colors of the winter beach, of the fresh air, and a frosty breath of the winter. Phases Glacier is woven in our signature cloudberry weave with a high quality merino wool (always mulesing free) and a bit of cashmere. The wrap is not very voluminous; it's rather compact but cushy, cuddly and with a real woolly feel. It does not require a lot of breaking in, it will very soft after the first wash. It is suitable for small babies and big toddlers.

This wrap is suitable for the machine wash - gentle cycle at 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) with a maximum of 400-600 rotations.

A tender summer palette of muted blues. Our signature cloudberry weave is an airy weave with a cloud like effect on the body. For the production of Fern Cloudbreaker we have paired several thinner yarns for the overal light feel of the wrap. It's airy, light in hand and on the body but still strong and supportive. It's very suitable from newborn to toddler and for the upcoming warm temperatures. Slubby viscose gives a gentle texture and a sophisticated look, kapok adds extra, seaweed adds extra lush and silky feel, while supima cotton is one of the most refined cottons on the market. The wrap has a gentle grip and is cool to the touch, easy to handle, is light and gentle on the shoulders - a perfect companion for the upcoming warm temperatures. Thin hemp weft requires minimum breaking in effort and adds extra strength and airiness; seaweed and modal add a little silky feel to the slightly crispy texture; supima cotton adds extra softness and cush. Easy in care and use, suitable for all ages.
Second grade quality - one, two, or three rows of skipped threads per wrap. This flaw is moderately visible when inspecting the wrap, not very visible once wrapped. This flaw does not impact the safety of the wrap.

Organic Supima cotton is one of the best cottons out there and combined with seaweed and tencel, it results in a gentle but strong wrap suitable from newborn to toddler. The wrap is easy going, easy to tie and the wrap job will stay in place. Airy, snugly and have we already said that it is amazingly soft without being saggy?

The wrap is solid and blankety after the first wash and requires a moderate breaking in period. It is suitable for wrappers experienced in handling heavy weight wraps. Once broken in, it will be suitable for younger babies as well as toddlers. This is a great wrap for the coming warm season. It contains highly absorbent materials which are easy to wash and easy to care for. It will be your grab and go wrap for all your beach, forest, mountain trips and any other outdoor activities.

NB. The wraps might fall a little short after wash, but will regain their usual length after some use.

* Pith paper *

Pith paper is made from the spongy pith of the branches of a small tree Tetrapanax papyriferum which grows in Taiwan. In fact the pith paper has nothing to do with paper as we know it in our modern use. Pith paper has been used in China for several centuries as a base for water color paintings. Nowadays the pith paper yarn is used for making surgical outfits, toys and artificial flowers and occasionally as a base for paintings. The yarn from pith paper is a very strong and durable, resistant to time and wear. It is also very absorbent and is very much suitable for warm climates.

* Ramie *

Ramie is a flowering plant of the nettle family and is known as “China grass”. It comes from East Asia and has been used in China for over 5 centuries as a textile fiber, long before cotton has been introduced into the Far East. Ramie fibers are naturally white and do not need bleaching. Ramie is a lot more absorbent than cotton and textiles containing ramie yarn are very much suitable for warm and humid weather. Ramie yarn is resistant to bacteria and mildew. It has natural stain resisting ability which makes the removal of stains and dirt from ramie easier than from cotton. On top of that ramie yarn is strong with lustrous silky appearance.

A challenge for the brave only! The wrap is beastly right from the bag and requires a moderate breaking in period. A good wash and a steam iron will help you on your way to make it a strong, supportive and easy to handle wrap. Once the wrap is properly broken in, it will be suitable for most ages and most experience levels.Slubs and nubs are normal for this wrap as it has a rather high hemp content.
NB: this batch falls a little shorter than you are used to with Solnce wraps.
