The wrap has a gentle grip and is cool to the touch, easy to handle, is light and gentle on the shoulders - a perfect companion for the upcoming warm temperatures. A thin linen yarn adds extra support and will soften quickly. Ramie is a strong, pland based yarn with silky texture and tender shine. Easy in care and use, suitable for all ages.
Ramie is a flowering plant of the nettle family and is known as “China grass”. It comes from East Asia and has been used in China for over 5 centuries as a textile fiber, long before cotton has been introduced into the Far East. Ramie fibers are naturally white and do not need bleaching. Ramie is a lot more absorbent than cotton and textiles containing ramie yarn are very much suitable for warm and humid weather. Ramie yarn is resistant to bacteria and mildew. It has natural stain resisting ability which makes the removal of stains and dirt from ramie easier than from cotton. On top of that ramie yarn is strong with lustrous silky appearance

For the production of Fern Cloudbreaker we have paired several thinner yarns for the overal light feel of the wrap. It's airy, light in hand and on the body but still strong and supportive. It's very suitable from newborn to toddler and for the upcoming warm temperatures. Slubby viscose gives a gentle texture and a sophisticated look, kapok adds extra, seaweed adds extra lush and silky feel, while supima cotton is one of the most refined cottons on the market. Made from the bagasse, the left overs parts of the sugar cane after the juice has been extracted from the plant. The mesmerizing play of pure white, teal and purple.
